George Rudolph Mcdurmont

George Rudolph McDurmont, age 85, of Rome, passed away on March 11, 2016. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Era. Mr. McDurmont was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a longtime member of Sherwood Forest Baptist Church prior. Rudy retired from J.C. Penney after 30 years of service and then was the manager for Kessler for 12 years.

He is survived by his wife Martha Singleton McDurmont; two daughters, Ellen (Buck) Seward and Alison (Andy) Campbell; three grandsons, Dane Seward, Thomas Campbell, Ross Campbell; two sisters, Sarah Williams, Patricia (Hugh) Selman; two brothers, W.L. (Shirley) McDurmont, Donald (Linda) McDermont.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral will be at the funeral home on Sunday also at 3:00 pm with burial to follow at East View Cemetery.
