Frankie Ann Clark

Mrs. Frankie Clark, age 65, of #219 Bells Ferry Road, NE, Rome, died on Sunday morning, January 31st, 2010 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Clark was born on July 22nd, 1944, the daughter of the late Frank J. and Flowreen Williams Davis. She was a 1962 graduate of East Rome High School and was a member of the New Antioch Baptist where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class and in the past was a children's Sunday School teacher. Following graduation, Mrs. Clark was associated with Southern Bell as an operator and currently with AT&T as an Engineer Assistant. Mrs. Clark loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and camping with friends. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, O.C. Montague.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Clark, to whom she was married on September 12th, 1964; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kellie and Mike Curry of Rome and Kacie and Kyle Freeman of Rome; 5 grandchildren, Lily Curry, Ruth Ann Freeman, Ava Freeman, Frank Curry and John Kyle Freeman; a sister, Betty Mathis Montague of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mrs. Frankie Clark will be held on Wednesday afternoon, February 3rd, 2010 at 2 o'clock at New Antioch Baptist Church in Shannon, GA. with the Rev. Tony Cargle, Rev. Max Tucker and Rev. Tracy Hardy officiating with interment to follow in East View Cemetery. Mrs. Clark will lie-in-state at the church on Wednesday from 1 until 2 o'clock.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jack Culbertson, Hobert Keith, Bill Worley, Charles Weedon, Monty Montague and Burl Pledger. Members of the Faith Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Clark will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
