Frances Jane Ridley

Mrs. Frances Jane Ridley, age 97, of # 49 Elmwood Street, (Riverside Community), Rome, died Wednesday afternoon, June 27th, 2007 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Ridley was born on July 21st, 1909, the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Reed and the lateCornelia Ann Blaylock Reed. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the North Rome Church of God. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Ridley was associated with West-Point Peppperell. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Emma Abernathy. Mrs. Ridley was married on February 28th, 1926 to Floyd Ridley who preceded her in death in May 1988.
Survivors include 5 daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Harris, Cornelia Meeks, Sarah Horsley and her husband, Billy, Melinda Gaddis and Joan Harwell all of Rome; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Harold Ridley and his wife, Carol of Locus Grove, GA. and Donald Ridley of Rome; Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive as do nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Jane Ridley will be held this (Friday) evening, June 29th, 2007 at 8 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Jones officiating. Graveside and interment services will be on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Floyd Memory Gardens. For those attending the graveside services on Saturday please meet at the graveside by 1:45 p.m.
Mrs. Ridley will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6:30 p.m. until 8 o'clock. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
