Flora Lucille Allen

Mrs. Flora Lucille Allen, age 97, of Rome, GA, passed away Monday evening, February 14, 2017, in a local hospital.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Allen was born on July 2, 1919, the daughter of the late William O. Denson and Idell Hawkins Denson. She was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of the Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Harley Allen.

Mrs. Allen is survived by one daughter, Frances Gladden of Rome, two grandsons, Allen Charles Gladden and Lewis Harley Gladden, both of Rome.

Graveside and interment services will be held on Thursday afternoon, February 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at East View Cemetery with Michael Farris officiating.
