Ernest Lee Hall

Ernest Lee Hall, age 60, of # 4553 Huffaker Road, Rome (the Coosa Community), died Thursday, October 30th, 2008 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Hall was born on April 2nd, 1948, the son of the late Fred and Sallie Thornton Hall. He spent most of his life in Floyd County and was a member of the Thankful Baptist Church. Mr. Hall was self-employed and was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Calvin Hall and Fred Hall, Jr.
He is survived by his soul mate and love of his life, Carolyn Abbott, 1 sister, Shelia Roan of Columbus, GA.; 2 brothers, Bill Montgomery and his wife Rose of Rome and Kenneth Hall and his wife Beverly of Rome; 6 daughters, Stacie Mathis and her husband, Bobby of Cedartown, Ga., LaTasha Hall of Rome, Alice Hall and Tim Towns of Rome, Ninnevah Hall of Rome, Angelica Smith of Mableton, GA. and Jasmen Hall of Douglasville, Ga.; 4 sons, Ernest Hall, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Conyers, GA., Richard Hall of Cartersville, GA., Micheal Price of Cedartown, GA. and Omar Thompson of Rome; 3 step-children, Marilynn Tatum and her husband, John, Mike Abbott and his wife, Stephanie and Greg Abbott and wife, Beth all of Rome; 25 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A special friend that he loved like a brother, Charlie Young and his wood splitting buddy, Jesse. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A memorial service for Ernest Lee Hall will be held on Monday afternoon, November 3rd, 2008 at 3 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Pastor Don Burkhalter, Dr. Scott McClure and Bishop Alex Allen officiating.
The family will receive friends this (Sunday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel. At other hours they will be at the residence.
