Elvern Allen Evans

Elvern Allen "Doc" Evans, age 85, of Rome, a former long time residence of Rosedale, passed away on Tuesday morning, December, 9, 2014.

Doc was born on August 22, 1929 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Evans. He was a member of the Georgia Bluegrass Music Group.

Funeral services for Doc Evans will be held on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at Rosedale.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 o'clock until 1 o'clock.
