Doris Carolyn Brock

Doris Carolyn Eaves Brock, age 84 of the Everett Springs Community, Armuchee passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 8th, 2012 at a Rome hospital.

A native of Lindale, Georgia, Mrs. Brock was born on October 18th, 1928, the daughter of the late Ellis Clemons Eaves and the late Barbara Byrd Eaves. Mrs. Brock had spent the great part of her life in Floyd County and was a homemaker. Mrs. Brock was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Hardwick, Farrell and Doyle Eaves and a sister, Hazel Eaves.

Survivors include her husband, Jadie Lee Brock to whom she was married on September 19th, 1947; 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Michael and Jackie Brock of Buford, GA., Barry Brock of Armuchee, Randy and Polly Brock of Alabaster, Ala. and Reverend Jody Brock and his wife, Tammy of Armuchee; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Doris Carolyn Eaves Brock will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 11th, 2012 at 2 o'clock at the Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church at Everett Springs with Doctor Wayne Hopper officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday afternoon, November 11th, 2012 from 1 until 2 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Mrs. Brock's sons and grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
