Mrs. Dolores Jean Wilson, age 75, of 613 Briarwood Circle NW, Rome, died early Monday morning, May 7th, 2007 at a local hospital.
A native of Kremlin, Oklahoma, Mrs. Wilson was born on May 25th, 1931, the daughter of the late Harley E. and Gladys Lola Stack Felton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brackettville, Texas and attended the First Baptist Church of Rome. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Camellia Garden Club of Rome. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and for a period of time taught school in Texas. Mrs. Wilson was married on August 18th, 1950 to Alvin A. Wilson who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin A. Wilson, a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Hal Ruland of Rome; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Alvin and Kathy Wilson of Woodlands, Texas and Randy Wilson of Dallas, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Sydnie and John Thomas Horton of Statesboro, Ga., Aubrey Beth Ruland of Athens, GA., Tony Wilson of Woodlands, Texas, Kristy Wilson of Woodlands, Texas and Lauren Wilson of Carrollton, Texas.
A memorial service for Mrs. Dolores Jean Wilson will be held this (Wednesday) afternoon, May 9th, 2007 at 3 o'clock in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Rome with the Dr. Joel Snider and Rev. Keith Reaves officiating.
