David Scott Leonard

David Scott Leonard, age 40, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. David was born on November 16, 1982 in Colorado Springs, CO to his loving parents, Sandy Henry and Steven Leonard. He was kind, thoughtful, and always a gentleman.

David spent most of his life in Colorado Springs and was a 2001 graduate of Wasson High School. He was a gifted guitarist and loved animals, the mountains of Colorado, and the Philadelphia Eagles. 

David is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Bobbie Lewis and his uncle, Stu Leonard. 
David is survived by a loving family that he cherished. Survivors include his parents Sandy and her husband Terry Henry of Cleveland, TN; Steven Leonard and his wife Diane of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Dana (Mike) Chrzanowski of Chattanooga, TN; brother, Jim Motes of Ohatchee, AL; maternal grandparents, Troy and Betty Hanson of Gloucester, VA; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, bonus brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and special friend, Tara and her daughter, Katie. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend who will be missed by all. 

A private memorial service was held on Saturday, August 12, 2023. According to his wishes he will be cremated and his ashes scattered on Pikes Peak. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Make A Wish Colorado.
