Lynn Bunch

Damona Lynn Bunch of Rome, Georgia, passed away on June 4th, 2023 at the age of 51 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 29th, 1972 to parents who loved and cared for her beyond measure. Her kindness and welcoming nature made others feel comfortable and at home in her presence. Lynn had an excellent sense of humor, which made everyone's days brighter.

Lynn was a successful bookkeeper for Whittington Jones & Rudert, CPAs for many years. Under her leadership, the company experienced several successful years of growth and prosperity. Graduating from Pepperell High School in Lindale as an honor student in 1990 was one of Lynn's proudest accomplishments.

She was passionate about fishing and loved spending time outdoors with friends and family. Her positive outlook on life was infectious and she lived every day to the fullest.

Lynn's surviving family includes her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Tanner (Hunter); sister, Exer McClure (Kenneth) of Rome, GA; sister, Tina Rampley; brothers: John Spratling (Angel), Scott Rampley, and Paul Barton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her dogs Ducky and Spot. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lynn is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Brian Bunch; her parents, Thomas Issac Spartling, Patsy Jean Graham Rampley and Charles Rampley; and a brother James Barton.

A viewing for Lynn will be held at Salmon Funeral Home in Rome on June 7th, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the viewing will be a graveside service at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Lindale at 2:30 PM that same day with Reverend Don Tanner officiating. Hunter Tanner, Kenneth McClure, Jason Watson, Jimmy Watson, Brian Land, Marc Hardeman, Gary LeCroy will be serving as pallbearers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Austin and all of her coworkers at Whittington Jones & Rudert, CPAs. For those planning to attend the visitation and graveside, the family requests that you dress casual. 

Lynn will always be remembered for the positivity and light that she brought into the world during her time here with us.
