Cindy Bray Prince Duvall, known by friends as "Mimi", age 43, of #22 Glenview Drive, N.E., Rome, died Saturday, May 10th, 2008 in Rome.
A native of Floyd County, Cindy was born on April 7th, 1965, the daughter of Lamar and Brenda Dixon Bray. She had spent her entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the Armuchee Church of God. Cindy was a 1983 graduate of Armuchee High School and received a Customer Service Degree from Coosa Valley Technical College. For a period of time, Cindy was co-owner and operator of South 41 Diner in Adairsville, Georgia. Cindy was preceded in death by grandparents, Howard and Pearl Bray, Walter and Bessie Trapp Hunter, and a grandmother-in-law, Wilma Rollins.
Survivors include 1 daughter, Lauren Prince of Rome; 1 son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Jennifer Prince of Rome; a grandson, Peyton Andrew Prince to be born in June, her parents, Lamar and Brenda Bray of Rome; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina and Ted Edwards of Rome and Pam and Keith Little of Rome; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Jessica Bray of Cartersville, a special friend, Chris Long. Aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Cindy Bray Prince Duvall will be held on Wednesday afternoon, May 14th, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Izell and the Rev. Harry Carter officiating. Cindy's aunt, Kay Dixon will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Roland Tucker, Allen Mathis, Stanley and Russell Dixon, James Bray and Shon Erwin.
Cindy will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Tuesday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the home of a sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Ted Edwards at 25 Ashley Oaks Trail, Rome.
