Connie Renee Padgett

Connie Padgett, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 in Rome, Georgia, at the age of 63. 

She was born in Rome, Georgia, on December 30, 1960, daughter of the late Jerry and Sandra Pless. She was one of three children. Her sisters, Emily Pless and Lindy Enyeart, proceeded her in death. A life-long resident of Rome, Connie was educated at Coosa High School. 

Connie married the love of her life, Van Padgett in 1987 and together they created three children, to whom she dedicated her life. 

Connie worked for many years as a Bookeeper for Mike Ford Automotive and Coosa Valley Cabinets. Her love and dedication to her family extended to the companies she served and her coworkers, who to her, were family as well.

Connie is survived by a son, Chris Padgett (Brittany), Silver Creek; two daughters Melanie Stanley (Michael), Rome, and Casey Padgett (Rory), Atlanta; four grandchildren, Brantley, Sadie, Raylann and Blakelee; and one niece, Lauren Enyeart (Arizona). 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2 - 4 PM at Salmon Funeral Home in Rome, Georgia. Memorial services to immediately follow. Honorary pallbearers include Chris Padgett, Michael Stanley, Brantley Padgett, Mike Ford, Steven Ford, and Zack Ford.
