Connie Grace Lumpkin

Connie Grace Lumpkin, age 91, of #2292 River Road, Louisville, GA. and a former resident of Rome, GA. died Tuesday morning, January 5th, 2010 at her residence in Louisville, Georgia.
A native of Floyd County, Georgia, Miss Lumpkin was born on June 13th, 1918, the daughter of the late Paul and Mabel Formby Lumpkin. She had been a resident of Louisville, Georgia since 1999 having moved there from Rome. Miss Lumpkin was a member of the Hollywood Baptist Church of Rome and attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Avera, GA. Prior to her retirement she was associated with Pepperell Manufacturing of Lindale, GA. Miss Lumpkin was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a brother, Rev. Donald Lumpkin and his wife, Joan of Louisville, GA.; 6 nieces and nephews, David Lumpkin of Statesboro, GA., Russ Lumpkin of Augusta, GA., Sharon Tomlinson of Swainsboro, GA., Tim Lumpkin of Louisville, GA., Nancy Sharpe of Rome and Alice Mathis of Raleigh, N.C. 15 great-nieces and nephews and 7 great-great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Connie Grace Lumpkin will be held on Saturday afternoon, January 9th, 2010 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home, Rome, GA. with her brother, Rev. Donald Lumpkin and Brian Lumpkin officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Wax Cemetery.
Miss Lumpkin will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, David, Russ, Tim, Brian and Jonathan Lumpkin, Randy and Charlie Miller.
