Christopher Wade Ford

Christopher Wade Ford, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on September 27, 2023, at his home in Shannon, GA. He was born on March 4, 1973, in Rome, Georgia, and was the son of William Harry Ford and Joan Marie Leonard Ford.

Chris had a fulfilling career working in numerous capacities in the manufacturing business. His dedication and expertise made a significant impact in his field. A passionate supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, Chris always enjoyed watching sports. He also had a deep love for music of all genres. Whether a soothing melody or an upbeat rhythm, he found solace and joy in the melodies that filled his life. Aside from his hobbies, Chris had a great love for fishing. Spending his time casting lines into rivers and lakes brought him tranquility and contentment.

Survivors include his parents, William Harry Ford and Joan Marie Leonard Ford of Shannon, GA; brothers: Jeffrey Todd Ford and his wife Carla of Shannon, GA; William Jason Ford of Shannon, GA; nephews, Seth Ford and his wife Lydia, Ethan Ford and his wife Alexis, Devin Ford, Jackson Danford; niece, Sidney Ford; great nephews, Christopher 'Topher' and Cabrey Ford; and great niece, Everly Ford. Chris was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Blackjack. His loyal companion brought him immeasurable happiness throughout their time together.

A visitation service to honor Chris's memory will be held on Friday September 29, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home. 

Throughout his life, Chris brought joy and happiness to those around him. His warm smile and gentle spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Salmon Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Christopher Wade Ford.
