Christopher Allen Stansell

Christopher Allen "Chris" Stansell, age 50, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 10th, 2012 at a Rome Hospital.

A native of Floyd County, Chris was born on May 25th, 1961, the son of the late Palmer A. Stansell and the late Sandra Helms Stansell Bell. Chris had spent his entire life in Rome and Floyd County and was a 1979 graduate of West Rome High School. He was a member of the Shorter Avenue Baptist Church and for a number of years was associated with USG Interiors of Cartersville, GA.

Survivors include a daughter, Christie Stansell of Calhoun, GA.; a son, Shawn Stansell of Calhoun, GA.; 2 grandchildren, Abigail Stansell and Isabelle Ward; 1 sister, Lori Holloway and her husband, Steve of Rome; a brother, David J. Stansell of Rome.

Funeral services for Christopher Allen "Chris" Stansell will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 14th, 2012 at 3 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Dr. Charles Drummond officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Beech Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Josh Reynolds, Chauency and Eric Fife, Danny O'Neal, Steve Holloway, Shane Wesson, Bobby Davis and Chris Smith.

Chris will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hour they will be at their respective homes.
