Charles L. "Chuck" Lanham, age 68, of #114 Wade Street, Rome, died Tuesday afternoon, October 9th, 2007 at his residence.
A native Floyd County, Chuck was born on August 22nd, 1939, the son of the late Charlie Joe Lanham and the late Gertrude Herod Lanham. He had spent the greater part of his life in Rome and was of the Baptist faith. Chuck was a 1957 graduate of Adairsville High School, served in the United States Army and was a master barber having owned and operated The Forrest Barber Shop of Rome. He was a die-hard Washington Red Skins Fan.
Survivors include his wife, June Wright Lanham to whom he was married on May 18th, 1990, a daughter, Angela Cox and her husband, Hardee of Garner, N.C.; a step-son, Steve Trammell and his wife, Ginger of Rome; a grandson, Blake Trammell, a granddaughter, Jordan Trammell, a sister, Carolyn Adams of Adairsville, GA.; a brother, Doyle Lanham of Cedartown, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Charles L. "Chuck" Lanham will be held on Friday afternoon, October 12th, 2007 at 2 o'clock at the Cryptside of the St. Luke Mausoleum at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Cosby officiating. Entombment will follow in the St. Luke Mausoleum at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Chuck will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Thursday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
