Charles Chris Hoge

Charles Chris Hoge "Bucky", age 50, of Armuchee, GA. passed away on Monday afternoon, January 30, 2012 in Armuchee.

A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Chris was born on October 20th, 1961, the son of Charles D. and Helen Hoge. He had been a resident of Rome since 1976 moving here from Chattanooga and was of the Baptist Faith. Chris was a 1980 graduate of Coosa High School and a graduate of Coosa Valley Technical College. Chris was a veteran of Desert Storm having served in the United States Navy. He was a member of Oostanaula Masonic Lodge 113 F&AM , the N.R.A and the Water Works Association of Georgia . For a period of time Chris was associated with the City of Rome Water Treatment Plant and at the time of his death he was associated with the City of Cartersville as a Water Treatment Operator.

Survivors include his wife, Marnie Henderson Hoge to whom he was married on November 11th, 1989; 2 sons, Christopher Brent Hoge and Matthew Caden Hoge both of Armuchee; his parents, Charles and Helen Hoge of Rome; 2 sisters, Marsha Bradshaw and Michele Covington both of Jacksonville, Fla.; a grandmother, Euna Stephens of Dade County, GA.; father and mother-in-law, Donald L. and Linda Gail Henderson of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel this (Friday) evening from 5 until 8

Funeral services for Charles Chris Hoge "Bucky" will be held on Saturday morning, February 4th, 2012 at 11:30 from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Kremer officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Cartersville, GA. with Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F&AMconducting Masonic graveside rites and Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 American Legion Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F&AM, P.O. Box 1892, Rome, Georgia 30162.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, David Bradshaw, Denny Bradshaw, Logan Bradshaw, Mark Barlow, Blake Griffis, Chad Gregory, Brandon Nelson, Lee Carter and Aaron McCullough.
