Channing Kaytes Wallace, born in Dalton Georgia, on November 7th, 1997, passed away at the young age of 25 on May 13th, 2023. Channing's beautiful soul was taken from us too soon from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near her hometown of Rome, Georgia.
Channing had a heart of gold and always made others feel at ease. She had a welcoming personality and a great sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. Channing was also known for her kindness and generosity towards others. Her warm spirit and caring nature always left a lasting impression on the people she met.
Throughout Channing's life, she dedicated herself to serving others; she took pride in her work at Marco's Pizza where she enjoyed connecting with customers while serving them delicious pizza with a smile. Channing was passionate about her recovery and spent her time volunteering and helping others in the recovery community.
Channing enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading a good novel, drawing or sketching, dancing and listening to music, and preparing a good meal. She was an animal lover who found joy in taking in any stray she found and gave it a good home.
Channing's father, Paul Wallace and his wife, Donna Wallace of Rome, GA along with her mother, Tina Duncan, of Kingston, GA deeply mourn their loss. Channing was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Don Duncan. Additionally she is survived by her Godfather, Shane Harmon of Kingston, GA; Brothers, Chapin Brookshire (Taylor) of Calhoun, GA, Jagger Harmon of Rome, GA; Michael William Wallace of Rome, GA; Paternal Grandparents, Michael and Darlene Wallace of Rome GA; Maternal Grandparents, Steve and Jessie Bennett of Rome GA; Paternal Great Grandmother, June Wright of Rome, GA; Paternal Great Grandfather, Richard Wallace of Rome, GA; Uncle, Todd Duncan (Marla) of Calhoun, GA; Aunt, Andrea Kerns and (Joshua) of Rome, GA along with numerous aunts, uncles, a niece, cousins and friends that will miss her warm spirit.
A Funeral Service to Honor Channing will take place on Friday, May 19th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Salmon Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Haynes officiating . The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the funeral service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the funeral service at Chandler Cemetery in Calhoun, GA with the following gentleman serving as pallbearers: Shane Harmon, Todd Duncan, Tyler Wood, Nathaniel Wood, Bryan Clark and Jonathan Godfrey.
Channing Kaytes Wallace leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and friendship. She was a beacon of light to everyone she came across, and her memory will continue to live on in our hearts. The family requests that flowers be sent or in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Living Proof Recovery.
