Cecil Louis Disharoon, Sr

Cecil L. Disharoon, Sr. age 59, of #24 Windrush Drive, Rome, died Thursday morning, november 29th, 2007at a local hospital.
A native of Fulton County, Ga., Mr. Disharoon was born on September 2, 1948 the son of the late Cecil H. and Irene Barner Disharoon. He had been a resident of Rome since 1973 and was a member of the Rome Baptist Temple. Prior to his retirement in 2007 he had been associated with Bekaert of Rome for 20 years. Cecil was a mason and enjoyed camping. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Finny Bowen and Lynn Moss.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda White Disharoon to whom he was married on March 25th, 1973, 1 daughter, Debra Disharoon of Tucson, Arizona; a son and daughter-in-law, Cecil L. Disharoon, Jr. and Angela Disharoon of San Diego, California; 4 sisters, Mary Reese and Jenny Goodman both of Summerville, Ga., pat Baker of Atlanta, Ga. and Lee Disharoon of Rome; 1 brother, Roger H. Disharoon of Summerville, Ga. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Cecil L. Disharoon, Sr. will be held on Wednesday afternoon, December 5th, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at the Rome Baptist Temple with Dr. Billy Goolesby and Rev. Jack Cole officiating with interment to follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. Mr. Disharoon will lie-in-state at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 until the funeral hour.
The following will serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet at the church on Wednesday afternoon by 2 o'clock, Billy Knowles, Harold Shaw, Gary Gilbert, Phil Tilley, Harold Richey and Archie Medckie.
Mr. Disharoon will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
