Cecil Bonnie Climer-Crowder

Mrs. Cecil Waits Climer Crowder, age 90 of #1440 Ward Mountain Road, N.E., Rome died Tuesday morning, January 15, 2008 at a local hospital.
A native of Floyd County, Mrs. Crowder was born on June 8th, 1917, the daughter of the late Morgan J. and Willie Mae Bowman Waits. She had spent her entire life in Rome and was a member of East Rome Baptist Church. Mrs. Crowder was a member of Lindale Chapter #265 Order of Eastern Star. Prior to her retirement Mrs. Crowder was associated with West Point Pepperell Mills. Mrs. Crowder was married on August 30th, 1968 to Buford Quitman Crowder who preceded her in death on February 21st, 2002.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Max and June Crowder of Cartersville, Ga.; 2 grandsons, Mark Crowder of Cartersville and Michael and his wife Patty Crowder of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Geneva Crowder of Rome; a special friend and caregiver, Margaret Murdock of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Waits Climer Crowder will be held on Friday afternoon, January 18th, 2008 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Hinkley officiating with interment to follow in East View Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include, Max, Michael and Mark Crowder, Alton Dudley, Calvin Neighbors and Wesley Fowler.
Mrs. Crowder will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 12 o'clock noon until the funeral hour.
