Carolyn Ann Shelton

Ms. Carolyn Ann Shelton, age 63, of Rome, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

Ms. Shelton was born on January 30, 1960 in Lagrange, GA to her late parents: Vernon Shelton and Delma Brown Shelton. Carolyn worked as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, writing, the outdoors, hiking and traveling. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and cherished her precious grandchildren. Ms. Shelton was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Shelton and her nephew, Trent Shelton.

Carolyn is survived by her loving daughter, Gabrielle Jones and her husband, Cole of Jasper, GA; brothers: Vernice Shelton of Rome, GA, and Roger Shelton of Rome, GA; sister, Laverne Shelton of Rome, GA and her grandchildren: Oasis Jones, Eres Jones, Isadore Jones and Jake Jones all of Jasper, GA.

Funeral Services for Ms. Carolyn Ann Shelton will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Salmon Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Morning View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.
