Carolyn Grace Gregory

Carolyn Grace Crowe Gregory, age 67, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, February 21st, 2011 at the residence.

A native of Chattooga County, Georgia, Carolyn was born on September 20th, 1943, the daughter of the late Rev. John Norton Crowe, Sr. and the late Mamie Lou Mosley Crowe. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a graduate of Model High School. Carolyn was a long time member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church and at the time of her death, Carolyn was a member of the Calhoun Avenue Baptist Church. Carolyn was associated with Kmart for 25 years where she served as office manager. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother, John N. Crowe, Jr. on November 24th, 1999 and by a nephew, Timothy Crowe in 1993.

Survivor include a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Shane Maynor of Lindale, GA.; a son, Chuck Gregory of Rome; 1 grandson, Cody West, 1 great-grandson, Drake Maynor; 1 brother; Sammy Crowe(Lisa) of Rome; the father of her children, Manford Gregory of Rome; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Sue Crowe of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Carolyn Grace Crowe Gregory will be held on Friday afternoon, February 25th, 2011 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Maynor officiating with private interment for the family to follow in the Crowe Family Cemetery.

Carolyn will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock.

The following will serve as active pallbearers, Keith Crowe, Randy Freeman, Caleb Freeman, Matthew Skelton, Ricky Minshew, Preston Crowe and Zack Crowe.
