Carole Pollard Wallace, age 60, of 437 Kraftsman Road, SW, Rome died Tuesday evening, June 26th, 2007, at a local hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Chattooga County, Carole was born on January 26th, 1947, the daughter of the late David and Irene Taylor Ramsey. She had spent the greater part of her life in Floyd County and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church and attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Carole was retired, was a member of the Shanklin-Attaway Post #5 American Legion Auxilary and was a member of the Kraftsman Club. Carole was preceded in death by her first husband, James D. Pollard in 1995.
Survivors include her husband, Michael T. "Mike" Wallace to whom she was married on August 25th, 2001, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and Sherry Pollard of Atlanta and Tim J. Pollard of Rome; 3 grandchildren, Brooke, Addison and Amber, 3 step daughters, 1 step-son, 5 step-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Faye Ramsey of Lyerly, GA. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Carole Pollard Wallace will be held on Saturday morning, June 30th, 2007, at 11 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Karch officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as active pallbearers, Jeff Ramsey, Davis Pierce, Curt Wallace, Scotty Cannon, Larry Stephens and Mike Tolbert.
Carole will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
