Carley Austin Langford

Mr. Carley Austin Langford, age 80, of Rome, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Mr. Langford was born on June 27, 1942 in Rome to his loving parents, the late H and Mildred Harris Langford.

After graduating high school, he went on to work in construction and he was the owner of Langford Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Carley enjoyed worshiping the Lord at Dykes Creek Baptist Church where he was a member. Carley was generous with his time and talents and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Carley is survived by his loving family: sister Ann and her husband Gerald Dunn of Rome, GA; brother, Ed and his wife Aundrie Langford of Rome, GA; several nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. Carley was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Olene Mahan Langford.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday April 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Salmon Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday April 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the service hour at 2:00 PM.
