Mrs. Beverly Cornett, age 64, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday morning, February 6, 2017, following an extended illness.
A native of Rome and Floyd County, Beverly was born on April 19, 1952, the daughter of the late Milton J. Rolan and Doris Morris Rolan. She was a devoted member of the Dykes Creek Baptist Church and a strong woman of faith. Beverly was a computer data entry expert and for a period of time was associated with Berry College as an Administrative Computer Operator. She loved riding horses and motorcycles and was an accomplished painter.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Max Cornett, whom she married on July 19, 1970; one daughter and son-in-law, Allison and Luigi Baccala of Woodstock, GA; three grandchildren, Leanza, Will and Chloe Baccala; one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Mary Rolan of Rome. Several other friends and relatives also survive
Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Dykes Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Mikel Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour at the Dykes Creek Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the church on Wednesday by 1:30 p.m. and include Mark Bridges, Tony Bridges, Larry Dixon, Jerome Poole, Kyle Cornett and Lamont Cornett. Timothy Rolan will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Dykes Creek Baptist Church, 46 Dykes Creek Road, Rome, GA 30161.
