Betty Sue Moss

Betty Bunch Moss, age 72, of #3 Pine Park Drive, SE, Rome, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, January 4th, 2012 at a local hospital.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Mrs. Moss was born on December 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Grover and Julia Agnes Davis Bunch. She was a graduate of Rome High School and a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Prior to retirement in 1996, Mrs. Moss was associated with Sears for over 25 years. Following retirement, she went back into the work force for over 5 years with Sincore Nuclear Pharmacy. Mrs. Moss loved to dance, enjoyed traveling and was always giving of herself to others. She was a loving wife, mother, Nanny, sister and aunt. Betty was loved by each and every one of those hearts she touched. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Bunch.

Mrs. Moss is survived by her husband, Jack Moss, to whom she was married on September 19, 1986; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie Allgood Brawner and husband Jerry Brawner of Martinez, GA; a son, Timothy Hinton of Rome; six grandchildren, Amanda Rodriguez, Emily Allgood, Casey Allgood, Brian Hinton, Matthew Hinton and Jacob Hinton; three great-grandchildren, Brice Hinton, Caiden Hinton and Connor Hinton. A sister, Elizabeth Jones of Adel, GA, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Moss will be held on Saturday morning, January 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Cater officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Moss will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. At other hours they will be at the residence.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday morning by 10:30 a.m. and include Robby Jones, Larry Jones, Kenneth Jones, Ricky Earwood, Greg Earwood and Grover Bunch
