Beatrice Baxter

Beatrice "Bea" Baxter, age 82 of #1170 Chulio Road, SE, Rome, died on Sunday afternoon, June 7th, 2009 at the home of a daughter in Rome.
A native of Harriman, Tennessee, Mrs. Baxter was born on May 21st, 1927. She had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and was of the Church of God faith. Prior to her retirement she was associated with the Holiday Inn of Rome for several years. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Bannister in 1978 and was married in 1949 to Kenneth Baxter who preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Richard Sprayberry and Vickie and Barry Bennett all of Rome; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Billy and Rovina Minton of Rome and Jerry Wayne Baxter of Houston, Texas; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. A sister-in-law, Betty Christian and her husband, C.A. of Rome also survive.
Funeral services for Beatrice "Bea" Baxter will be held this (Tuesday) afternoon, June 9th, 2009 at 2 o'clock from the graveside of Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Billy Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. For those attending the services for Mrs. Baxter please meet at the graveside this afternoon by 1:45 p.m.
