Barry Grant Johnson, age 32, of # 72 South Avery Road, NW, Rome, died Friday, October 19th, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Floyd County, Grant was born on June 23rd, 1975, the son of the late Martha "Tiny" Brewster. He had spent his entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the Hill Crest Baptist Church. Grant attended Coosa High School and at the time of his death served as a set-up technicial with Rome Precision Dye Casting of Rome.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Money Johnson to whom he was married on July 2nd, 1994, 2 sons, Nathan Grant Johnson and Nicholas Lane Johnson, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Larry Money, Sr. of Rome and Elizabeth Devlin of Centre, Ala.; 1 stepsister, Angie Cosper of Rome; 1 stepbrother, Kenny Charles of Rome; 2 aunts, Linda Griffith of Rome and Frances Brewster of Cedar Bluff, Ala.; 1 uncle, Mitchell Grant of Rome. Cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Barry Grant Johnson will be held on Tuesday afternoon, October 23rd, 2007 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Wilson officiating with interment to follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers include Larry Money, Jr., Terry and Jackie Money, Robert Hudgins, Chris Watters and Bobby Burton.
Grant will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Monday) evening from 7 until 9 o'clock. At other hours they will be at the residence.
