Austin Glenn Kollman, age 25, of Miami, FL, formerly of Rome, GA, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, in Florida.
Austin was born in Rome on September 11, 1993, a son of Debbye Kay Monk Kollman and Brian Keith Kollman. He had been a resident of Rome and Floyd County for the greater part of his life, moving to Florida in 2016. Austin was a graduate of Model High School, attended Georgia Northwestern Technical College and was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he was working as an electrician with Sawgrass Electric. Austin was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, loved cars and reptiles and was involved with softball leagues and adult kickball leagues.
Austin is survived by his mother, Debbye Monk Kollman of Fort Lauderdale, FL; father and step-mother, Brian and Debra Kollman of Jacksonville, NC; fianc, Allison Berkley; one sister, Christy Kollman; two brothers, Kevin Keith Kollman and Tyler Keith (Brooke) Kollman. Austins dog, Chase, and his chameleon, Zilla, also survive.
Funeral services for Austin will be held on Tuesday evening, November 6, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. in Salmon Funeral Home with Pastor Mikel Garrett officiating. Private interment will be Wednesday morning in Rome Memorial Gardens.
Austins family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Tyler Kollman, Kevin Kollman, Joshua Kollman, Eric Kollman, Grant Hicks and Hank Hicks
