Arthur Herbert Wood

Arthur H. "Herbie" Wood, age 50, of #111 Foster Street, Lyerly, Ga. and a former Roman died Thursday morning, October 25th, 2007 at the residence.
A native of Floyd County, Mr. Wood was born on May 8th, 1957 the son of William Herbert Wood and Dorothy Roberson Wood. He had been a resident of Lyerly for the past 7 years moving there from Rome and was of the Baptist faith. Prior to his death Mr. Wood served as a technician with Mohawk Industry of Lyerly, Georgia.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wright, his parents, William H. "Bill" Wood and Dorothy Roberson Wood both of Rome; 3 sisters, Jane Wood Bray of Fairburn, GA., Marie Wood Coalston and Julie Wood Johnson both of Rome; 3 brothers, Phil Wood of Woodstock, Ga., Barry and Bradley Wood both of Rome. Nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service for Arthur H. "Herbie" Wood will be held on Saturday afternoon, October 27th, 2007 at 2 o'clock from the Parkview Chapel of Fred Talley's Funeral Home with Dr. Robert V. Ozment officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock and for a period of time following the memorial service. At other hours they will be at their respective homes.
