Alix Olivia Pratt

Alix Pratt, age 11, daughter of Carlita Adams Pratt and Durando Pratt, of Lavonia, GA, formerly of Rome, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Egleston Hospital of Atlanta.

A native of Rome, Alix was born on August 30, 2002 the daughter of Carlita Adams Pratt and Durando L. Pratt. She was a student North Hart Elementary and a former student of West End Elementary and Armuchee Elementary. She was a member of the West Rome Church of God of the Union Assembly. Alix loved being with her family and watching "Little Mermaid" on television. She was preceded in dead by her grandparents, James Adams, Jesse Pratt and Wanda Pratt.

Alix is survived by her mother, Carlita Adams Pratt of Lavonia, Georgia, her father, Durando Pratt of Chatsworth, Georgia; a sister, Wanda Taylor Pratt; 2 brothers, James Crimson and John Tyde Brown; step-sisters, Pamela Carter, Danielle and Tessa Brown; her grandmother, Carla Adams. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Alix will be held on Saturday afternoon, January 4, 2014 at 1 o'clock at the West Rome Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverends Rocklan Hughes, Jamie Adams, Kaylon Hughes and Marvin Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Alix will remain at Fred Talley's Parkview Chapel where the family will receive friends this (Friday) evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the church on Saturday by 12:30 p.m. and include Shone Coker, Morgan Adams, Jesse Pratt, Billy Lovain, Ryan Pratt and Scott Rice. Honorary pallbearers will include Robyn Manry, Ricky Clay, Keri Burkett, Jeni Hughes, Red Hurtt, Tim Donahue and Tish Condra.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alix Pratt Memorial Fund, c/o the United Community Bank.
