Mr. Alden Maurice Brown, affectionately known as “Mo,” age 60, of Cedar Bluff, AL, passed away on October 19, 2024 in Rome, Georgia.
Mo was born on January 13, 1964, in Tucson, Arizona. He was a dedicated mechanic, Mo found great joy in working on various vehicles and enjoyed the satisfaction of fixing things. His love for automobiles was evident, particularly in his fondness for classic models, including a cherished 1964 Chevy and 1950 model Bel Airs. Mo also had a special love for motorcycles, always excited about the next ride. Additionally, he enjoyed listening to country music and old-school rock, which further enriched his vibrant personality.
Mo brought warmth and laughter into the lives of those around him. He adored his family and friends, always cherishing the moments spent together. His spirit and kindness touched all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his sons, AJ Brown (Crystal Garrett) of Cedar Bluff, AL, Mike Echols of North Port, AL, and Mark Pitt of Jasper, GA. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Beverly Jane (Corey) Brown of Northport, AL, and his sisters, Darcy Johnson of Northport, AL, Tracy Waggman of Aztec, NM, and Debra Brownlee of Dawsonville, GA. Mo will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Dylan Echols, Megan Echols, Morgan Echols, Chris Vondra, and Hope Pitt. He also leaves behind a special friend and caregiver, Tammy Byrd, whose care meant so much to him. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Alden Maurice Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jean Echols Brown, and his father, Alton Mackey Brown, along with his brother, Alan Murray Brown.
Memorial services for Mr. Brown will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. CST at Bone Camp Church.
Mr. Brown’s family will receive friends at Bone Camp Church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
